National Magazine photographer Mark Downey photographs our own Mandy Dancer as she prepares coffee at Dawson Taylor.
Thanks to the Idaho Photographers Workshop, I was able to assist Mark in capturing Boise for a day as part of a contest sponsored by the Idaho Tourism industry.

This part of the world is amazing. Beautiful, wide open vistas, that show the power of simple wind and rain against hard stone. Hard to define the vastness with a camera.

Was so absorbed in taking this photo that not one but two nice officers pulled up to ask me what I was doing in the middle of Vista!
The washer lady was in the sun, and the background was green and in the shade. A little “Davidization” and here you have it. Worthy of the 2011 calendar?
