The third one says, “ya, I haven’t sold anything this week either.”

Do you miss the Blues? Do you think Boise has lost it’s edge when it comes to live music. You my friends are wrong. At least this week.
One of the very best touring musicians will play for the Boise Blues Society Annual meeting. November 17th.
Jo’s Sunshine Lounge-Where the connector meets Curtis.
PUBLIC more than welcome.
Your blues friends will be talking about this for years. I suspect this will be my far the most intimate venue John will play this year. This often means a special performance.

This one is a little thing-this is like voting. . .
If you don’t go-you can NOT bitch about Boise not having any blues. PERIOD!

DAVID R DAY WWW.AMERICANPHOTOSOURCE.COM - DAVERDAY@GMAIL.COM - (208) 794-7271
Warehouseman, camera store clerk, real estate broker, bartender, small business owner, radio station sales manager - and then I turned 30. After that, highlights include magazine editor, radio show announcer/producer (”The Blues Highway”), freelance writer and designer. I began focusing on photography in my 40s, bartending to support my family until I could make it full time.
Recent photography related experience includes several seminars and classes, and a pivotal Ansel Adams Gallery class taught by Keith Walklett in Yosemite.
I’ve presented numerous times at The Digital Lunch, The Idaho Photography Workshop, shown my work in galleries and establishments throughout this area, and have been be an assistant teacher for the Orcher Institute at Boise State University.
Numerous national and regional magazines feature my photography, including books and websites. Recently, Popular Photography and Ford Motor Company chose one of my images in an national ad campaign contest. Another of my recent ad campaigns won the Idaho Ad Federation’s ROCKIE award. Farmers and Merchants State Bank (now Bank of the Cascades) commissioned a fine art series with me: Boise Postcards, which now hangs in the main branch in downtown Boise. Mountain West bank also displays a group of my historic themed Boise photos in the lobby of its downtown branch. Additional work graces walls throughout the country - from college dorms to New York brownstones.

I was the guy who always had a camera. At work, I would take your head shot for the paper and made sure you looked good. Those pictures found their way into the company newsletter. Family and business obligations slowed down his photography, but even then I kept shooting.
A job as magazine editor lead to a crisis with a staff photographer. At deadline, I ran out and bought the only new digital Canon Rebel in town. At a photo shoot with a local TV anchor, a beautiful cover shot was produced - the hook was set and a new career launched. The work achieved quick acceptance and publication, both as fine art and as print and commercial pieces. Because of a talent for finding new ways to portray landmarks and cityscapes, my photos have attained wide popularity in a variety of media, from books, TV, and websites to annual reports. Using a lyrical style once described as “urban landscapes,” it is a style that continues to bring a unique view of our world.
Mellissa Larson:
With contemporary, bold portraits and intriguing fine art images, Mellissa “click” Larson has quickly become a successful portrait, wedding, and art photographer. Her passionate depiction of people shows a talent beyond her years. Mellissa will bring her unique experience to our afternoon “in field” on location class.

I have a passion for photography and take my camera everywhere I go. I express myself through the artistic view of the lense. I have been doing professional photograpy for 4 + years however I have been taking pictures since childhood, visually exploring life’s moments. Having the opportunity to shoot for many clients with various needs gave me a chance to discover that “unique angle”… with the desire to not just deliver a photo, but to tell the story with that image. It seems like I have always had a camera in my hands and I very much enjoy my work. I am currently specializing in Wedding, Event, Portrait, Marketing and more. Spent the morning with the crew from the BLM. They call it a “gather,” using a helicopter that Heather Tiel-Nelson from BLM said was flown like ”broader collie with rotors.” These magnificent animals are corralled and removed to thin the herd. It was thrilling to see the horses move through the high desert. As I was leaving one big stallion was headed east as he had again eluded capture.

Been wondering if I need to keep posting on Boisee.com. Seems like most of my commenters, and likely readers have gone to Facebook. Don’t mind doing both, if anyone out there is reading this thing. Just thinking out loud. Maybe I should turn this into a more photo oriented site.
