If you get an email from ANY BUSINESS asking you to volunteer or verify information, send an email, or call a number — any customer contact that is outside the normal routine — then it’s probably a scam (even if the logos and design look spot on). Healthy mistrust is an asset with the Intertubes.

The simple solution is to “know thy neighbor”, even it’s the neighborhood banker. In these days of the of the internet there are a lot of “bankers” after your business, but do you know them? Do you have a name and their personal extension? I don’t know about you but if I got a message like that I’d call my banker first off and my first question would be “did you send this”
