You said what?

April 27th, 2008

Been taking some heat in the comment section of late. I love it! What started as a blog for a small group of friends and coworkers has become something more. Last month over 8000 people wandered by. Wow and thanks.

As for the comments, well. Boisee.com is what it is. See notice to readers.

Boisee.com is my opinion, my likes, and dislikes. I write about what I know. Someone recently accused me of “journalism.” I assured him that any journalism found here was entirely by mistake. Integrity hopefully-real news-not so much.

Sometimes I will post a rumor and label it as such. Yes, now and then I am wrong. Mostly I get it close. If you disagree, or I get it wrong-your welcome to come on in make a comment and say so.

This is a fun way to keep up on the Boise scene from San Fran, keep up the good work Boiseboy!

“expect syntax, grammar, logic and especially spelling errors.”
Oh yes, we expect them, and notice them.
You forgot the comma in between logic and the and.

Actually, the terminal comma for items in a series is by no means required. Different style mavens come down on different sides of this argument — the larger point is to choose a side and do it consistently. My previous copy writing firm omitted serial commas as clutter; although I have a major client right now who insists on them. However, David’s use of “especially” to emphasize the how bad he spells seriously downgrades the possibility that anyone would fail to properly understand the sentence. And, you know, that’s what it’s all about.
