Lot’s of great suggestions. I will work on a couple as I shoot and I think we should play some more- so keep the ideas rolling.

The one that sparked a reaction was “Catch me if you can.†I was just barely able to “catch†this lone coyote just around the corner from the Warm Springs golf course. With his ears up he looked me in the eye and then turned and wandered off towards the foothills.
So Richard-you win a calendar. You can hang it in your truck!
It was VP that made this comment, so Viv you get a calendar and and apolgy!

Been having fun reading the comments/suggestions for our game. Still don’t really have that “gem.” So how about another round?
Also thought more casual readers might like a closer look. . . enjoy.
Send me a phrase, or a quote, or even just one word. I will try to match it with a photo for photo Friday. Just enter it as a comment. If I use your comment/phrase you receive a copy of this next years Calendar.
Could be fun!

“Wide stance.†… Nah, cheap shot.
Speaking of cheap, how about Cheap Trick, like the band?

For many years my friends Jon Falkner and Jeff Tauge have played together as a duo. Their music speaks to good times past, of friends made and loves lost. A sound for all times, for good times and yes, of times not so good.
Jeff and Jon will be together on the patio of Angell’s Saturday the 25th and again a month later. Stop by and create some new times!

Free Spirit and former Dawson Barrista Haley, spins through Alive After Five on her way to Nevada for the Burning Man.
She and 799 other fire dancers will perform at the “Burnâ€. The final ceremony that gives Burning Man it’s name. Would I love to have a camera for that!
As you can see the crowd was light at AA5. Wonder if the lack of local music and the Lori b!’s comments against that are having an effect?
Will have to say that what little time I have spent on Wednesdays walking to my car this summer, the music has been good.

Wasn’t your fathers Lugenbeals!
The company was fine and the martini finer!
The Friday happy hour at Chandlers was near prefect. With Martini Mix-off master Pat Cardin at the helm of the bar. My freinds and I found and the wait staff well trained and subtlely attentive. The new bar in the old Statehouse Inn now Hotel 43 was a great place to end the week. Even better? Steve Eaton was at the baby grand. His now Seatleite son Marcus joined in on guitar to make his father proud and well, ya shoulda been there.

The Boise 2008 Calendar is about to go to press. The full sized wall calendar features 13 months of Boise. Many of the images appeared first on Boisee.com.
Here is the deal, I would like as many people as possible to get a chance to see and purchase the Boise 2008 calendar. It is by far the best of this now 3 year series. In a past life I was a good sales guy, but when they are your images the rejection can be brutal. So my loyal friends and readers. I need some help getting the word out. The calendar is wall sized and a standard 13 month December 07 - December 08.
The cover and a couple of the images are below.
Past years Boise calendars have graced walls from industry to dorm rooms. From Boston to Belize they remind us of the amazing beauty that is Boise. A perfect gift, employee incentive, customer appreciation prize, or just to display in the kitchen.
Thanks a bunch, David

Been working on the 2008 calendar Boise!
Over the years I have taken 100’s of photo of the fountain on the Grove Plaza. Somehow I just don’t seem to capture the liveliness of the water and the people. This image is pretty nice though. Whatta think? Worthy of being on your wall for a while?

Barbacoa

Angells
So I wrote long boring reviews of Barbacoa and Angells. After I up loaded the photos. They summed up the experiance far better then I could.
Guess which dinner I found the best. It was less money also.

Over the last few years the Boise Blue Society has sent at least one representative to the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. Past participants have included Fat John and the Slims, Smokin’ Todd, Neighbor Dave, and last year “Lori B! and the Boys†Here are the details on this years contest.
ENTER THE LOCAL BLUES CHALLENGE: WINNER TO REPRESENT THE BOISE BLUES SOCIETY IN THE 2008 INTERNATIONAL BLUES CHALLENGE
August 14, 2007 - The Boise Blues Society is pleased to announce that we are sponsoring a blues talent contest in which the winner will go to Memphis to represent the BBS and Idaho in the International Blues Challenge. The 2008 International Blues Challenge semifinals will be Thursday January 31 and Friday February 1 and the finals will be Saturday February 2.
Interested artists must submit a CD at least 20 minutes in length, a short bio, and a photograph. In addition, all participants must be Blues Society members. Bands and solo/duo acts are eligible to enter the competition. The BBS will follow the rules set forth by the Blues Foundation. A full explanation of the rules and criteria may be found on the foundation website www.blues.org, click on the IBC logo. Entries must be received by September 30, 2007.
The entries will be judged by a panel of local musicians who have all previously competed in the contest in Memphis . The panel will select up to three acts (depends on entries received) that will perform at the BBS annual meeting on October 13th (to take place at The Rose Room in downtown Boise). The BBS representative will be determined by the membership as a whole during that meeting.
While the BBS will provide as much financial support as possible, the performers will ultimately be responsible for paying their expenses to the contest. In the past, performers who have gone have had some success garnering donations at their gigs. For more information contact Don Patterson, (208) 342-7263 or Nancy McIntosh (208) 459-8082.
