No I didn't own the Bouquet, I did work there a long time. The answer is simple. LIVE music! No DJ, big screen TV or sound system will ever be a good for me as live music. Does that make me elitist? no, outta touch and nostalgic maybe. So, yes I miss the Blues, I already miss the jazz at the Milky and the vibe is way mellower without the smokers at Gillys. Sorry if that comes off as negative, just the opinion of along time patron/worker of downtown bars who supports live & local tunes. Dave whats your story did you once own the Blues Bouquet? For those of us newer to the scene downtown I'd like to know. You seem disinfranchised with the current downtown scene what gives? I wonder why this place already has the seal of approval before it opens, strange. I'm glad to have another choice to drink but Bodo parking sucks.
