Sounds like a fun picnic. I was a DJ at KBSU from '79 to '84, with Carl, Marla, Jim Gonnoud, and in the early days....Bob Lilly and Art Cardoza. Still miss Art's "remote" broadcasts from the Top of the Hoff Building (done in the studio of course) and his special guests that were "due later in the show".
The days of 2 turntables and a microphone. I remember playing 58 minutes of the Moody Blues or the Stones with no interuption...at 11pm on a Thursday, or 3am on a Sunday. Or starting my shift at 6am on Mondays with Jean Luc Ponty and end it with Rush at 10am...(come to think of it, that's why I was removed from the 6-10am slot on Mondays, "Closer to the Heart" at 9:50 in the morning....haha)
Sure wish Victor was here in person. Obviously he will be there in spirit. I was in Minn. in June and missed his services.
I wonder if Walter Fields will be there....easily the 2nd strangest DJ KBSU ever had besides Cardoza.
See you at the Picnic. pp
