Can you guess if this is an old or new image?
So, my blog hassles were not this bad! Or this funny. . .

Oops! Google accidentally deletes its blog
March 28, 2006 12:19 PM PST
Google has admitted that it accidentally deleted its own official blog on Monday night. “We’ve determined the cause of tonight’s outage. The blog was mistakenly deleted by us (d’oh!) which allowed the blog address to be temporarily claimed by another user. This was not a hack, and nobody guessed our password. Our bad,” Jason Goldman, Blogger Product Manager, wrote in a posting on the Google Blog. Apparently, the Google Blog was unavailable for a short time on Monday.
This photo from friend Don O. in Kona made my think.
Which is cheaper by the galloon? Gas or water. Water right?
No! At $1.00 a pint, water is $8.00 a galloon. Gas is cheap at 1/2 the price, even if you buy it in Kona, Hawaii.
Thanks for the pic Kona boi.
Is it just me? Why are people bringing their dogs into stores? Even restaurants. Don’t mind running with the big dogs, but I don’t want to eat or drink with ‘em.
As long as I am ranting, what is up with Poodles? Bet they look in the mirror and hate their owners for the hair do.
Well, I’m getting closer. Think I have the time right. Still no spell check and some of the colors are wrong! However, I’m getting photos to work and you all can post comments with any hoop jumping.
Soon I’ll photoshop up a fancy-smanczy header and be done with it. Whewww.
Don’t think even one person reading this blog will remember the first dragon wagon.
Dodge calls my new ride a Magnum, but at it’s heart it is more Conastoga than Hemi.
Anyone need an 8 foot by 6 foot Framed photo? I’ll deliver!
Nick Moss & The Fliptops are coming to The Rose Room on April 12th, a Wednesday.
Cost will be $5.00 for non-members, $3.00 for BBS.
Details to follow, or check the BBS website. www.boiseblues.org
(nope, I still can’t get links to work!)
Or maybe do as I say, not as I do! A citizen can’t place an advertisement for a yard sale or a band gig on a light pole. The City of Boise however can advertise a cheesy low income housing developement. Call a cop, oh!
It is often said the one person can not make much of a difference. Whowever said that has not met BBS member Jon Knox. His gentle but presistent nudging has created a hugely successful Blues Jam at the Reef. Every other week he blends egos and instrurments into beautiful music. Boise and the Blues Society are lucky to have Jon round.
Thanks Jon
By the way Jon put in his own money to help the BBS Jam aquire a preminent drum kit. This fantasic looking set is a dream come true.
Lori B! snuck into the BBS jam and as usual rocked the house. B! you can wear your PJ’s to the jam any time!

Rex and Beverly, create velvety smooth tunes every place they play. Catch them were ever great music is served.
Well, I’m getting closer. Still no spell check. However, I’m getting photos up and working and you can post comments with any hoop jumping.
With help from the son, looks like I may have solved the photo problem. Still have some alignment issues, but at least in my computer you can see the picture. Let me know if you cannot see this beautiful bird. Thanks for the comments and encouragement.

To be able to find the American Bald Eagle within Boise is just a miracle to me.
Me?, I hate all those little smilley face “emoticons” These however I can understand. . .

A few things I’m working on to get this site working better:
As of now it is making me “approve” all comments, sorry. I will check them often and approve them all until I can figure it out.
Also their is NO spell check, as if my need for editing wasn’t bed enough!!!
The sizing of the photos is weird too.
Look for steady improvements and my usual random thoughts.
A little off my beaten path!
The old Black Angus in the Spectrum Center has closed. May mean a liquor license is available.
From a site called Engadet:
We’ve seen plenty of automated methods of drink creation and acquisition, but we like to keep an open mind about such things, and this edition by Michael Murphy seems a notable entrant into the category. The Automated Bar is outfitted with 13 pumps that each control their assigned ingredient and together can make around 150 preprogrammed drinks, along with all sorts of customized creations. The whole thing is powered by an old Compaq PIII box running XP and controlled with a single numeric keypad.
Whew, it is a windows based machine! Was nervious for a minute.
Thanks to my ever so smart son, I am back in business. It will take a day or two to clean things up and make this site look like it should.
One of the great drink slingers put down the shaker last night and made his famous “last call” for the last time. We will miss Colin’s quick pours and quicker banter. See you on the the dumb side of the plank my friend.
The Reef is fast becoming a blues bar. It has been a long time since anyone waited in line to see a local Blues band.
The Blues Brothers Rock and Soul Revue hit it big last night. Konke and Minigar were morphed into Jake and Ellwood. Soon toes were tapping and tails wiggled up from seats. Had to go, but it looked like I missed some fun.
Like to drink, hate to pay.
Happy St. Patty’s Day

There is something romantic about an old highway. Long since replaced by faster and safer interstates. Old highways become something less. They also become something more. Given the chance I’ll take the “Blue” road everytime.
On a trip to see some waterfalls I was seduced by highways Old; 30, 34 and 78. On 30 I ate at the Oxbox restaurant in Bliss, Homemade Ice Tea, grilled cheese sanny, and a bowl of homemade soup, $3.38. Not one of my usual typos. The total of the lunch was $3.38. Left a fiver and felt like a big spender.
The sky was a little grey for great photos, but I caught a couple. Hope you enjoy.
Found a few choice spots just waiting for spring so, expect more back road wanderings.

How can you tell when spring has come to Boise?

Not sure why I think this will make an interesting blog piece.
Step one: (with the smart sons advice) Get a Yahoo hosting account set up.
Step one A: Fail miserably. Can’t remember old Yahoo name, Try biziqmag, seems to work but no password! Who knows what old e-mail account the “reminder” password went to? Used my current e-mail account. Get “daypixs” as a password. Try, try,try every conceivably combination. Still no clearance. Give up! OK, I’ll create a new account. A few of the “screen” names that did work: americanphoto, davidrday, boiseboy,(think I used this already-wonder what the password is?) Boisee.com, mrday. etc. Hey? What about boiseeboy? Works, get in to yahoo.com. Find little tab that says “web hosting” Hope that means blogs too. Think it does. Decided on a (got any ideas how many GB’s I need?) plan. Jump hoops. Enter address, d.o.b., mothers ring size, fathers country of origin. Get account. Whew. Still with me?-why? All I need to do is set a password. Pay-up and get started with a new site.
Cut to the chase. Several hoop jumps and a quick tap dance later. . . Neither of my perfectly good credit/debit cards will work!!!
E-mail son to ask if I can borrow a cup of credit? Go to sleep.
Stay tuned for more>>>
UPDATE:9:00am Thursday…Kid turns be down for loan! See why I call him ’smart”. I’ll try his mom!
9:15 am Just for kicks attempted an upload. Don’t see a picture do you?
7:50 just got back from a Trip to Twin Falls. Picture upload is working. Guess I will have some time to work on my credit.
Beautiful water fall photo for Friday!
Remember the bad old days when the internet didn’t work, was painfully slow, or just weird. Today the software that controls this blog was all three. Can’t get pics to load at all.
So! I will be switching to a new account shortly. Keep you updated. Yes, it might be entertaining to watch and you all will have front row seats. Hopefully, it won’t be to much pain for me and fun for you.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are unable to process your request at this time. Our engineers have been notified of this problem and will work to resolve it.
